How fitting that I haven't updated this journal since the release of Jaded, two years ago.... Eh.

Anyway, I released my NEW novel, Love Addict on October 11th, and just opened for mail orders while we wait for my webstore to be revamped!

LOVE ADDICT is a side-story to Jaded, which can also be read as a stand-alone in the JS-Series.
It's about Miya who thought he was happy with his life as it was. Being a kid from the sticks, he embraced the thrills of the city when he moved to Kobe, abandoning his teenage heartbreaks. Eight years later, he is leading a lifestyle that can only be described as hazardous but free. He’s financially stable, got great friends and few worries. But still…
What Miya thought he wanted turned out to be far from what he really wants. And when his heart’s desire enters his life, he finds that he'll have to fight for it.

It's a lighter BL story than both SNOW and Jaded, but according to my readers who already plowed through it, it should still tug on your heart strings a little bit.

I wanted to write about Torucon. I wanted to write about pushing myself till the end to finish Jaded on time (which I didn't, it was postponed again and again), about writing NaNoWriMo and starting a new project, about cosplay plans and everything else.... But as usual, dA seems like a lost cause for me. This time it was because my sub ran out and I didn't want to journal without having a pretty skin to look at - sadly, there was some trouble with my card, so I was unable torenew my sub; aka. I was too lazy to figure out what was wrong. But now here I am. And let's forget about all the photos I want to upload for a moment. I bring happy news!

On December 1st, Jaded was released in Norway. I had a release session at Outland Trondheim, wihich was really fun. We sold a fair number of books, and I was able to chat with many lovely readers ♥ A local journalist was also there, but I have no idea when they'll be printing the article as of yet. I'll try to update about that once I've heard from him again. Since then, I've enjoyed feedback from the norwegian readers, while stressing myself out over how I wasn't able to open the webstore yet - due to some typos, and not having the time to fix and proof the novel all over again. I've been incredibly busy, and I had my social study exam in the middle of everything, so I've been unable to do much of anything for the past month.

But at long last, the webstore is up and running!
Because of the long wait, I decided to put up a special offer: Until January 6th, Jaded is priced at $20 at the webstore.
It's still a bit steep for a book, I know, but it has to do with low royalties and high publishing costs, being independent and all. Doesn't make my guilt any less though.
Anyway, I'm really sorry to have kept everyone waiting! Thus far, I've had lots of great feedback, even though I was so nervous about the reception. I hope that you will enjoy the read if you decide to pick up Jaded!
In about a week's time, you will also be able to purchase it through Amazon.com, and within the next month, I'll try to extend the distribution to other webstores and bookshops as well. More information will be posted on my blog!

And now for something completely different:
I do have a lot of things I'd love to talk about regarding Jaded, but for now it'll remain secret until I know precisely what's going on with my script XD

As usual, I've been ignoring my dA. As a result I've been plowing through nearly 9000 messages I need to stop doing this ;W;

On May 5th. Free comicbook day took place as usual, and so me and some friends headed down to Outland. Sadly there weren't many cosplayers there this year, and I didn't see many people I knew either, which was kinda sad.
To top it of, my costume was far from ready, as I've been waiting two months for my wigs, which are to be wefted and styled, and because of school, the costume itself wasn't done. So I had to think of something else. I ended up going as Norway again - but as I'm kinda tired of cosplaying Noru all the time, so I did the Russe version again. Even made a proper coat and hat this time - but then I never got any photos taken. So I'll have to do that later.
Hahah, nobody recognized me - or the cosplay.   I guess I blended in a little too well! Kids kept chasing after us asking for cards as well, which was kinda awkward, since I'm not a real russ :'3

I still have tons of photos from last year's Norway cosplay to upload, but  felt he was kinda crowding my gallery, so I'm holding them off for a bit.

A friend asked for cosplay photos for his visual kei school project, so we had a pretty rushed shoot on Tuesday. But we did get some nice shots. And I'm happy that I finally got to take some proper pictures in my Last Live costume with the guitar~

Only 4 for now, but there'll be more as I finish editing them. I'm also hoping to get DOUBT done at some point. Sigh, where are my wigs? I'm getting worried ;w;

Finally. I am so sick of waiting for Diablo III (`皿´)ｳｾﾞｰ　
I pre-ordered the collector's edition back in January, but thanks to some mix-up at GAME (they sold more copies than they stocked), my order was cancelled, and I had to pre-order it from the UK. Nice work GAME; making that discovery one week before the release date.    
In the end, my copy ended up costing me way more than I intially expected to pay, and I haven't even received it yet, because the postal services are slow, so I'm stuck with nothing to do. I'd been planning on gaming all weekend. Instead, I'm stuck listening to my friends jabbering about how awesome it is. Lovely.
You'd think 10 years of waiting was enough. Gaaaah. These things always happen to me （　ＴДＴ）

So yeah. That's life these days. Once again, I hope to be more active on here >_<

Guh. I'm so happy

It definitely motivated me as well. I've spent all day doing everything but work, even though I was supposed to. Given, I've gotten lots of other useful things out of the way, but I was aiming to edit chapters 11-13 today and get a move on things. Hm. I'll try to see if I can get something done before bed. Tomorrow's a midterm so I need to get sleep though, but I assume I'll finish early, and mark my words: I'll work when I get home!
I'm really motivated now! SHA~

Man, if I never see food again, I'll be happy.
Actually, I'm lying. I'm hungry again right now. I've gotten used to enormous amounts of food, and I'll probably be abstinencing for the next week until I somewhat stabilize. It's odd, I've always eaten less at Christmas than I do the rest of the year, since I'm not a big fan of a lot of Christmas foods... The snacks however, are a completely different story.

How has 2012 treated you guys so far?
Mine has already had it's ups and down. As per usual, January makes me poor. I started the new year with an eye infection (actually, it snuck up on me the day before Christmas to be honest, I just chose to ignore it), which lead to a doctor's visit, medication, throwing away my favorite pair of circle lenses, and getting a new pair. As if I wasn't poor enough already? (´Д｀；)
Gah, and this is the third pair of this exact type of contacts I've had to throw away >__> In one year. In six months actually. WHY.

What? Oh yes, the happy news.
Omg, I'm so relieved!
Today I received an e-mail regarding my busted harddrive~
They've been able to get to the files, and every single one can be recovered. Out of 70 000+ files, only one is damaged, and firstly, it's so little damage I can still watch the video, and second, it was just an anime episode, which can easily be replaced.
Of course, recovering the data was pricy, and since the old hdd was busted, they have to place the files on a new one. I don't mind getting a brand new 2TB harddrive though. Even if it adds to the price.
In the end, I'm even poorer this year than I was in 2011.
But contrary to 2011 I'm happy about this. Although it's a lot of money, it would have been much worse losing all the precious memoires from the past three years, as well as heaps of excerpts and other stuff... I think the price is worth it, compared to the anger, agony and buckets of tears I would've endured if they couldn't save it.
So I'm a happy camper~
Expect an avalanche of cosplay photos once I get it back~ >w<


Another thing is that we've been able to get on top of things with the Jaded-editing. It's moving along slowly, and since we hadn't gone through any chapters since June, I had to force my test-reader to read the whole thing over, so we can get back on track. I think I've decided what to do now. Maybe. If I have, then the script might actually be finished at some point soon. Depending on how much time I have on my hands this semester.
The only problem is the stuff I've already written, which would have to be changed. I'm gonna make my test-reader go through the rest of the chapter first though, and then we'll discuss which way would be better. In the end, the decision is all mine, but I do appreciate a second opinion. I don't write to please the readers, but at the same time, I do want you guys to enjoy the read, so I'll have to carefully consider what's best for the story versus what my nostalgia wants. This is an old story by now, and some changes are in order. It's just ridiculously difficult for me to make them.

If I was an idiot I'd say that my resolution for this year is to finish Jaded and get it out. Particularily because I need money.... <.<
But I'm not stupid, and this might take a while. Still, I do have a goal to get the script and editing out of the way.
Please continue to wait patiently. ♥

Meanwhile, I want to take the time to thank those of you who are feeding my ego by offering fanarts and kind comments. You motivate me so much~

Bah, school starts tomorrow, and I have a million things to do before then. I should get off the internet. >_>
